Stockagile secures a €2.5 million investment to strengthen omnichannel inventory and sales management for stores and SMEs.

Stockagile closes a €2.5M round to optimize omnichannel inventory and sales management for stores and SMEs
  • The round, led by Nauta Capital, also includes 4Founders Capital, Angels (Juan Roig’s investment company), and Zone2Boost.
  • Stockagile is a platform for optimizing inventory and sales management, syncing catalogs, stock, and orders across physical stores, online channels, and marketplaces in real time.

Barcelona, July 12, 2022.- Stockagile, the omnichannel inventory and sales management software for SMEs, has successfully closed a €2.5 million investment round led by the pan-European venture capital firm Nauta Capital, together with 4Founders Capital, Angels (the investment company of Juan Roig, part of Marina de Empresas), and Zone2Boost.

Stockagile provides cloud-based tools to manage products and to run physical stores, online channels, and marketplaces. With this round, the company aims to position itself as the leader in omnichannel sales management within the retail sector. The new funding will also go toward improving the product and customer service, driving a new sales and marketing strategy.

The Barcelona-based company was founded by brothers Miquel and Joan Subirats. Both engineers, they spotted a lack of digitalization among retail SMEs. To help manage and optimize inventory across the supply chain, they launched Stockagile, a Software as a Service (SaaS) designed to connect online and physical commerce by syncing catalogs, stock, and orders in real time.

Stockagile’s customers are small and medium-sized businesses that sell physical products: brands, wholesalers, retailers, store chains, ecommerce operations, and digitally native brands that need to digitalize their processes or centralize their ecommerce, marketplace, and in-store sales.

Miquel Subirats, co-founder and CEO of Stockagile, says: “The future of retail lies in working in an agile, optimized, and automated way. SMEs have to sell as much as possible with the fewest possible resources to stay sustainable, and that can only be achieved through digitalization. Stockagile digitalizes processes and connects sales channels using the best technology to help merchants sell more. Our goal is to automate many of the retailer’s own processes, such as setting prices and placing orders with suppliers.”

Jordi Viñas, Partner at Nauta Capital in Barcelona, adds: “According to market research, online and offline sales shares are expected to be roughly equal by 2040, whereas today they stand at 20% and 80% respectively. Solutions like Stockagile that connect these two worlds of the retail sector have grown strongly following the pandemic, and we believe they will keep gaining importance.”

Marc Castilblanco, Principal at 4Founders Capital, highlights “the strong growth of the technology solutions that digitalize and improve inventory management at retail companies. After a year as investors in the company, we have joined the new investment round, backing the project’s high potential and, above all, because we still believe that Miquel and Joan can turn Stockagile into the benchmark for stock management software in the retail world.”

In 2021, Stockagile was selected to be supported by Lanzadera, Juan Roig’s accelerator also located at Marina de Empresas. Angels then decided to take part in the 2021 investment round and are joining again in this one, showing their confidence in Stockagile. “During our time as partners, at Angels we have had the chance to witness first-hand Miquel and Joan’s leadership, attracting top-tier talent and investors like Nauta Capital. For that reason, and because the company keeps growing its base of customers who improve their efficiency thanks to its value proposition, we continue to support Stockagile’s development, and we trust that with this boost it will keep improving its product to reach many more,” says Pepe Peris, general manager of Angels.
