StockAgile closes a 400,000 EUR round backed by 4Founders Capital, Itnig and Angels
The deal will let the startup accelerate its growth, with the aim of expanding nationally and internationally and improving its product
Barcelona, May 2021.- StockAgile, the sales and inventory management software for stores, wholesalers and brands, has successfully closed a 400,000 EUR funding round to drive growth across its sales and marketing teams, with the goal of expanding the solution nationwide and internationally and improving the product. The round was joined by the funds 4Founders Capital, Itnig and Angels —the investment company of Juan Roig, part of Marina de Empresas— along with business angels Álvaro Rocabayera, entrepreneur and investor, and Horacio Martos, co-founder of Social Point.
“Now that we’ve validated our product with more than 40 customers —digitizing their supply chain right through to the point of sale, and automating the day-to-day management of their ecommerce stores— we’ve closed this funding round that will let us improve the product, deliver better service to our customers and push our sales and marketing strategy,” says Miquel Subirats, founder and CEO of the Catalan company.
The entrepreneur explains that “now that the role of ecommerce and marketplace selling is gaining more momentum than ever, StockAgile is a key piece in the digitization of businesses. Our goal is to become the world leaders in the retail management and omnichannel sales market.”
The Barcelona-born company was founded by brothers Miquel Subirats (CEO) and Joan Subirats (CTO), two engineers who, after years of building software for large retailers in consulting, saw that there were many needs retailers still hadn’t solved. Having spotted the opportunity, they began working on the solution with what would become their first customer, creating software that lets you manage and optimize stock and every resource across the supply chain, from purchasing through to sales, connecting the online world with the physical one and syncing catalogs, inventory and orders in real time. StockAgile’s customers are small and medium-sized brands, wholesalers, retailers, store chains, ecommerces or digitally native brands that either need to digitize their processes or need to sell online, both through their own websites and on other marketplaces.
Because of the pandemic, StockAgile saw strong growth as online sales surged, since the sector’s digitization needs skyrocketed. It was at this point that the startup brought on Oriol Vinzia, former commercial director of Groupalia and now CEO of Andjoy, as co-founder and sales director to round out the team.

In January 2021, StockAgile was selected to be supported by Lanzadera, Juan Roig’s accelerator also located at Marina de Empresas. Later, Angels decided to take part in the round. “At Angels we invest in entrepreneurial leaders who put the customer first and stay ahead of the curve. Miquel and Joan have the vision and experience to build a technology solution that will improve operations management for many retail companies,” says Pepe Peris, general manager of Angels.
Jesús Monleón, partner at 4Founders Capital, points out that “the retail sector needs a global solution for all of its complex stock processes. We love taking part and supporting Miquel, Joan and Oriol in this promising project. StockAgile has the potential to become the benchmark for stock management software in the retail world.”
For his part, Bernat Farrero, partner at Itnig, comments: “We like to invest in projects that solve problems, both small and large scale, and that’s why we’ve invested in StockAgile. They spend all day talking to customers to solve their problems. We see a lot of potential, because the software is very horizontal, packed with functionality and very easy to use.”
