Today is March 8th, a day when the world turns purple and women’s voices ring out loud in the streets. A day to celebrate the milestones reached in the fight for gender equality, and to remember how important it is to keep working together toward a fairer, more equal society. It isn’t a holiday, but a day of advocacy and reflection to raise questions and search for answers.
On this very special occasion, we sat down with Magalí Puig, our colleague and Product Manager at Stockagile, to hear about her experience as a woman in a technology and business role that is still typically led by men.
Magalí heads up Stockagile’s product team and brings more than five years of experience building products across different industries. As she puts it: “My passion for product is about making people’s lives easier and creating products that deliver real value to our users.” She also thoroughly enjoys the research process and staying ahead of the latest trends so she can apply them to her work.
When it comes to women in technology roles, Magalí is proud to see more and more women stepping into these positions, and society moving away from tying a particular profession to a particular gender. “I’m really glad to see how we’re making our way forward and fighting to establish ourselves in these roles. We have the skills and the ability to do it, and they don’t depend on our gender,” she says.
Her story is a powerful reminder that change is possible and that, together, we can build a more equitable and inclusive future. It’s an inspiration for girls and young women who dream of becoming programmers, developers and leaders in technology.
