Correction with a reason

The difference gets corrected with an author and a reason

When what you count doesn't match the system, you adjust the line and pick the reason: shrinkage, theft, damage, internal use, promotion or return. Stock recalculates instantly and the correction is signed.

Log & audit

Every adjustment, with author, date and document

Every adjustment creates a logged movement: the reason, the person who signed it, the date and the document. Filter the log by reason, location or person — and when you need to prove something, it's already done.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between an adjustment and editing stock by hand?

That an adjustment is never anonymous. When you correct stock, the system asks you for the reason before saving and signs the movement with your user, the date and a document. Editing on the fly in a separate spreadsheet leaves you not knowing what happened; an adjustment records who, when and why.

What adjustment reasons can I use?

Shrinkage (damage, deterioration), loss or theft, internal use (product used in the window display or in the store itself), promotion/marketing (units given away in campaigns), return and others. All of them accept a free notes field to add whatever detail you need.

Can I adjust several items at once?

Yes. In a single adjustment you add as many products as you need —by search, scanner or manual entry—, pick size and quantity per line and confirm them all at once. The adjustment applies atomically: either it all posts, or nothing does. No movements ever left half-done.

Who can make stock adjustments?

Only the roles with explicit permission. That way every adjustment has an identified responsible person and you avoid anyone changing quantities without the associated accountability. Access control is what guarantees every mismatch has a name.

Where do I see the adjustment history?

On the Adjustments screen you have the full history with adjustment number, date, user, location and reason, filterable however you need. And from each product's page, in its movements, you see the specific adjustment with its reason in the type column — with nothing to reconstruct by hand.

Does the adjustment update stock across every channel?

Yes. When you confirm, the stock of the affected location recalculates instantly and syncs with your ecommerce (Shopify, PrestaShop, WooCommerce) and your marketplaces. The correction is reflected with no waiting window, so you don't sell something you already wrote off to shrinkage or theft.
