Batches, serials and UIDs

Every unit uniquely identified

Turn on batches or serials per product, only where you need them. Batch to group units with an expiry; serial or UID to identify a single unit. Apply FIFO, LIFO or FEFO and let the system consume batches in the right order.

An essential for our business.

Very happy. :)) What I liked most about the software is the possibility of managing the whole sales team and, from the same place, creating a product, selling it and seeing the quantities of each material I need to make it. A very complete tool that helps us have greater control of stock and our materials in the day-to-day.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to turn on batch traceability for every product?

No. Turning on batches or serials is a per-product decision. The ones that don't need it are still managed by quantity alone. You turn it on only where it's needed: for regulation, for process or for internal control.

What's the difference between a batch and a serial number (UID)?

A batch groups several units of the same product under a common reference and, optionally, an expiry date. A serial number or UID uniquely identifies a single unit. Each product can use one, the other or neither, depending on how you need to operate.

Does the history include who made each movement?

Yes. Every movement is logged with the user, the date, the operation type, the warehouse and the batch or UID reference if it applies. Adjustments also require a reason. You can filter the history and investigate any mismatch instantly.

Can I use a scanner to log batches and UIDs?

Yes. On purchase receipts and transfers there's a scanner mode that logs batches and UIDs by reading the barcode. Faster and with no transcription errors, and the system validates duplicates in real time.

Does it work for regulated sectors and audits?

Yes. The combination of batches with expiry, unique UIDs, movement history and mandatory adjustment reasons covers the usual traceability requirements in food, cosmetics and medical devices. For an audit, the filterable history answers any question about a unit's life cycle.

Does it work across all my stores and warehouses at once?

Yes. Traceability is multi-location: every batch, serial or UID is tracked by warehouse and travels with internal transfers, so you always know where every unit is.
